Cheng Mei Instrument Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 1995. Initially distributing leading international precision instrument brands such as WEGU, Mahr, and Siemens, CMIt built strong expertise in precision metrology, automation equipment, and technical services, establishing a solid industry foundation.
Transformation and In-House R&D
Since 2001, CMIt has engaged in close technical collaboration with original equipment manufacturers such as Siemens, marking its formal entry into system integration and in-house R&D. The company has gradually evolved from a distributor into a solution provider with proprietary integration capabilities, continuously strengthening its technical services and market competitiveness.
Leveraging a self-developed, scalable modular software platform together with
proprietary optical imaging and optical path design technologies, CMIt delivers high-performance
automated 2D and 3D inspection and metrology tools. These solutions are applied across advanced
packaging, μLED, and compound semiconductor manufacturing, with a long-term focus on critical RDL
and interposer processes in advanced packaging.
Over the years, CMIt has remained committed to core technology development and application innovation, achieving successful deployments with more than 200 clients and securing dozens of proprietary patents. As demand for high-performance computing and AI applications continues to grow, the need for automated, high-precision inspection and metrology equipment is expected to expand further.
